Everybody loves being on hold! Right!
Well, after an attempted hack, or data leak, or some security issue at Revenue Canada, the government locked access to many thousands of accounts. I had the privilege of being one of those accounts.
Perhaps locking them was smart – prevents the hackers from doing hacky things, like hacking. But a real pain in the ass for people like me who just want to file their taxes! You see, to file my taxes, I need a code that I can only get from my account!
So, to unlock your account, you have to phone them. I have been trying for weeks now to get in touch with a human. Hold times are in the hours, and often they just hang up on you! Some times you can’t even get on hold!
